Tumwater Phase 1 ESA & Extended Review

Element routinely conducts Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) for repeat clients over a large regional service area. This project in Tumwater, Washington exemplifies our professional diligence and dedication to reliable as well as economical assessments. After identifying several potential concerns for contamination proximal to the site (including regional airport fueling and stormwater facilities, adjacent gas station, nearby VCP site), Element conducted an extended records review of files of several sites from the Washington Department of Ecology. Concurrently, we completed standard ASTM Phase 1 ESA protocol including visual reconnaissance of the site and bordering areas, and interviews with knowledgeable parties. We were able to determine no tangible risk to the project site from the surrounding factors by detailed review without the need for exploration and sampling procedures. This saved the client both time and money during the acquisition process.
